Organisation

I love the word “organised”

Being organised is satisfying, getting organised is terrifying.

I am an “everything should have a home” kind of person and in an ideal world the clutter in my home would be minimal and everything would be put away at the end of the day, however this never works in practice. No matter how much purging I do we always seem to have too much stuff, and that seems to be across the board, toys, clothes, shoes, junk in the loft, photos, dvds, books, EVERYTHING

OR I am just not utilising our space that well and this is the excuse I am opting for, I’m not lazy or messy or unorganised I just need to rethink our storage.
Problem number one, where to begin. Tricky when every room needs attention.
This is definitely one of my personal goals for this summer making better usage of the storage that we do have.

Oh to live in IKEA !!

Sketches

I have added another page to my ever expanding collection, but this one actually has something on it, YEP, shock, gasp, horror….

I am going to be loading sketches regularly to this page weekly or monthly, what do you think ? Leave a comment and let me know.

All sketches will be designed by me and not copied from anywhere else, they obviously reflect my style of scrap booking, photos, title, subtitle and minimal journaling. I am aiming for simple and easily do-able.

If you use one of my sketches, share, email me a jpeg of your completed LO for the gallery.

19 days and counting

OK so this post doesn’t have much to do with scrap booking, only 19 school days left until the summer holidays. HIGH FIVE.

It is strange, I’m not usually this excited about SEVEN whole weeks of 24/7 with my offspring, but for some reason I am looking forward to the break for lots of reasons, no routine, no commitments, although we do have plans, family visits, sleep overs and some day out trips as well as the mundane stuff of getting organised and caught up on major house cleaning and “stuff” purging.

I can guarantee after two or three weeks I will be craving routine again and will be glad when school starts again in September.

Progress

Update – I am progressing with the “ideas” side of things, finalising licenses for the fonts I want to use and fine tuning the way I want the “products’ to look. I just hope that they appeal to other crafty creatives and not just me, or this whole thing could be a bit of an anti climax !

Been giving a lot of thought to the content of this blog too, when I jumped into “blog land” with both size 5′s I wasn’t really sure what direction this blog would go. at some point in the not too distant future I am hoping to give the content more direction and structure, maybe some weekly features, all of it with a typographic influence of course !

Watch This Space …

Colour

Watching with interest Shimelle’s latest online participation event, if you haven’t checked in yet DO its all about colour. I used the colour spin tool, WOW what a time suck that was, before I knew it an hour had just disappeared in a blur of colours.

This is the first spin I liked so I am going to stick with this combo and try and use it.
