Photo Friday

I am struggling to get back in to taking more everyday photos.

I always thought that I was a prolific photographer and I guess I was but only for events, holidays birthdays etc…

Not so good at catching those everyday moments, which was one of the reasons to do the 365 project.

So I picked myself up by the bootstraps this morning and took a few photos in the VERY VERY weak spring sunshine, it only made a fleeting appearance before lurking back behind those unpleasant grey clouds.

I cropped this photo of my eldest on his bike, on his way to school, then I ran a couple of actions on it from PW freebie photo actions I used the boost and the quick edge burn. L.O.V.E it !

Freebie Tags

I designed these originally to use in my 365 album, but then I decided that they would make great oversize tags on scrapbook pages too. You could highlight the month by ringing it with a book plate or a cardstock frame or simply by drawing a coloured line around or under it. The smaller version would be great in a mini book.

I’ve given you a few options, I included 2009 and 2010 as I’m sure that everyone isn’t caught up with their scrapping from last year yet !!

The colours are pretty standard but I am open to requests, if you would like to see them in bright summer colours or festive or your own colour combination leave me a comment.

So print cut and enjoy

ps. I like them with their corners rounded, printed onto kraft coloured card stock !!

You can download them here

Feeling the need to Spring Clean!

I’m not a tidy person, mostly organised but not tidy. I have piles of clutter all over my house and I think its a reflection of what is going on in my head at the time !!

BUT I feel quite stifled by it all, it almost like I can’t get on and do what needs to be done while I have all this stuff that needs putting away.

SO I am putting together a plan to GET STUFF SORTED (no sniggering in the cheap seats, MOM !!) I am great at planning just really weak at carrying things out and getting them done.

Anyhoo, I am spending this week finishing off some work things, clearing out my scrapbook stash, what’s left of it, this is in preparation for moving my workspace downstairs and putting the boys into separate rooms, this in turn will enforce some much needed house decorating (bleugh!)

So I am starting slowly and planning to do one room at a time, declutter, clean, paint where necessary, tidy and reorganise. Damm tall order if you ask me but hey it needs to be done. I am aiming to have alot of the preliminary stuff done by the end of May so that the painting marathon can begin.

In order to inspire me and kick start the process I have been looking at some new, to me, web sites. Bit of a time stuck but interesting and inspiring too.

Happy Tuesday

reasons to be happy on a Tuesday, OK its sunny out there for the second day in a row, My eldest just found out he got into the secondary school of his choice, I am so relieved for him.Big PHEW !

OK back to all things scrappy, I just saw this font over at www.i-do-it-yourself.comIt requires a donation to the author but well worth it I think. Unusually for me, who normally prefers clean and simple, I rather like all the squigglyness of this font. Its called Kushtie and you can download it from Dafont
