Change is as good as a rest ?

Sorry I have to disagree, I have had a lot of temporary changes the last couple of weeks, Husband went on an over seas business trip for almost two weeks, Mom came to stay for a week (Love you Mom) Had a sick child at home, all these things meant a shift in the usual patterns, although I achieved different things, I certainly don’t feel rested, actually I feel like I have “change lag” and that I need to get back to my usual routines to stop myself feeling displaced.

I haven’t got any new freebies to offer just yet but I am working on some random sentiments plus the inevitable “seasonable” stuff

If anyone wants a jump start on Halloween, take a look at Martha Stewart, yes I know, but love her or hate her there are always some great craft ideas on her site.

I particularly like the accordion folded animal faces, the peg bats and the paper stair mice . . .

My own personal brand of crazy !

I have a to do list that I have just added the 459th item to and instead of methodically doing things on my list I am doing insane stuff that doesn’t need doing !

Alphabetising your knitting patterns instead of cleaning the bathrooms before you parents arrive, I’m not doing this, obviously, but you get the picture.

Thursday and feeling jaded ….

Been one of those weeks where I have loads of time and a huge to do list but haven’t achieved a third of what I wanted to do. I think I set my expectations too high !

I have decided to give in this morning and not to commit to anything until I get back from work this afternoon { COPOUT ! }

So I was cruising the web again whilst drinking copious amounts of tea and eating biscuits and I came across some stuff on the Graphics Fairy’s site, if you are already familiar with her site I apologise in advance.

I don’t really do vintage per say but I do like some of the vintage tickets, food wrappers, bottle toppers etc and labels that are available.

I particularly liked these Gummed Parcel Post Labels I can definitely see these as a background for some parcel tags, obviously it goes without saying that they would look great on a scrapbook page or two !

Another Freebie, but not one of mine

I discovered these today whilst I was cruising the web.

I think that they will have many uses, but I initially thought that they would make a great addition to the LSNED album pages.

Cathe Holdens site is a treasure trove of inspiration, she has some wonderful vintage lables as well and lots of her downloads are free, which is always a bonus.

Download the little packets here.

Memory Collector

Another little something for my LSNED album.

I designed this last night specifically for this album but then I thought that it could be used on a layout too, maybe an “all about me” layout, so I made a bigger version too.

I have printed it out on a few colours to test it, lighter colours are more successful, white cream and also kraft look good.

Enjoy the download, mail me an image and show me how you’ve used this or any of the dowloads I have designed.

Download from the Freebies page.

LSNED and still swimming against the tide !

Yes I am still attempting this challenge, although at the moment the challenge is winning, its the timing, school, work and everything else has all started at the same time and the first week takes some dealing with, lots of minor teething problems, but I am hoping to make some headway this weekend.

I have been making notes and jotting down ideas so I know what I am going to do each day.
the format for my album is going to be 6×6 ish and I have made some pockets out of kraft card stock to use with these journalling cards.

Although I have designed these to be used with my 6×6 format, you can cut them down to fit your albums or just use them as journalling card on a bigger page.
The wording is central because I wanted it to be visible above the cut out of my pockets.

As always feel free to download from the FREEBIES page, non commercial use only.

Here are the Freebie Dates

I didn’t get around to posting these yesterday but here they are now, and I hope you like them.

I kept then neutral so that they will go with most schemes.

I have cut mine out, corner rounded them and attached them with a staple, cut out they measure approx 3cm x 4cm

Enjoy and please feel free to comment.

As always you can download them here in a PDF format

Freebie Dates

OK so I know I’m a light weight when it comes to joining classes and not finishing the album, but I am going to attempt Shim’s LSNED class this month.

I am not what you could call prepared, but I have designed some date cards which I will share later on today after I get back from work.

I am toying with making a pocket for each day but haven’t come up with a size I am happy with yet so I will have to do a little more research, I want something that I is big enough to have fun with but not too small so that it makes me panic about fitting stuff on or in it.

OK too many decisions already, I may have to visit the stationary shop directly after work and go with whatever they have !!

Watch this space . . .
