SO I have been saying for a while that I would start posting the images of my 12 of twelve mini album that I am currently working on . . .
and I havent !
to be honest I haven’t done as much as I wanted I have the images sorted but the journalling just isn’t happening. I wanted to do something different each month, but nothing to involved.
Whilst reading Cathy Z’s blog recently I decided to follow her lead and for the first month of the album I did an interview with FJ, this worked so well that I had too many questions to put on one page so I am going to use the rest of the questions for another month’s page. I love Cathy’s quotes and quirks too so I am going to utilase this idea on one of my pages too. . . Thanks Cathy
Anyway here’s what I have so far.
I have always been inspired by her products, obviously due to the typographical nature of her designs.
Bonus when she shares a FREEBIE
Head on over to her blog if you want to grab yourself these great freebie downloads.
I am guest designer again today ( thank you to UKS for the opportunity ) I have designed some pseudo flash cards for UK scrappers members.
They are a great, simple, clean and useful journalling car. I used generic words with a few lines for your notes. The cards print out at approx 9 x 4.4 cm. Quite frankly they look just as good printed on cream or white card stock and whilst I prefer the look you get with slightly rounded corners the cards also work well with standard straight corners.
You can download a full A4 sheet of these cards from UKScrappers in the digital forum if you aren’t a member, get on over there and join, there are going to be some more stunning and versatile freebies from SJ, Dawn, Shimelle and myself each month for the rest of the year.
Feel free to leave a comment here if you are enjoying the freebie printables and let me know if there are any other printable products you would like to see and I will see what I can do.
Boo Hoo look at the weather !
I know our international friends think that us Brits talk about the weather too much, but I just need to get this off my chest . . . I am so done with Winter, not that I want this year to rush by but please can we have some spring like sunshine, just a little weak and warm with a bit of blue sky thrown in for good measure.

I think i like Thursday’s, it so close to a Friday, which to me is the beginning of my weekend. Happy Happy Happy!
Although this weekend is going to be organised chaos, 9yr old little boys running riot at a birthday sleepover, in my house, I seriously need to have my insanity levels tested !
Ok blog changes almost complete, I just need to get the font changed and I am going to call it done.
Getting along with my 12 of twelve book, done a couple of pages now and hoping to get a decent photo for February this weekend so that I can complete that page, the documenting part of the pages is causing me some consternation, I don’t want to journal his every move for each month but I want it to be an insight into who he is.
After reading Cathy Z’s post yesterday I decided that the interview technique was going to work best for me too so I have been typing up a list of questions and I am going to ask him half a dozen each month, then add a few notes if we do or see anything special that month.
Not really, just wanted to advice you that I am currently “messing” with my blog I decided that it needed a more personal look rather than a generic background, header etc
edit to add – I am getting there stuff is reappearing all the time !
So I started changing things this morning and in the process I have managed to loose things, I lost my links and categories and my archives. I am trying to put it all back as we speak and to change the font, I am hoping for a sans serif font, hope is all I have at the moment, updating it is more of an issue than I thought it was going to be.
Its a learning curve though, which is a good thing, right ?
Let me know in the comments what you think of the new look.
And as I really dislike posts with out eye candy here is one of my random photos
you know how much I love those twinkle lights . . . .
OK I started my son’s 12 of twelve album, I have done the front cover but I am rather pleased with it.
I am still slightly euphoric from completing my DD album so I have started this with unusual vigour !
Photos for December and January have been taken and printed and I am hoping to get one for February today as the SUN is finally out here in the dreary south of England, Oh where have you been !!
So here is the photo of the cover with my “12 typography” decorating the tag on the front.
It measures approx 8 x 5.5 inches, I made the cover by sticking two thin pieces of chipboard together (from the back of a pad of A4 file paper) then covering it with patterned paper some 7 gypsies gaffer tape (very old stash) my tag (gosh I’m so clever) Teresa Collins large chipboard numbers (more old stash) and a metal star from a household decoration (inventive)
Hopefully more pics of the inside and next page to come later
Ok as it is the month of lurrve I decided to design some valentine themed freebies
Some nice clean graphic faux tickets for your valentines projects, love the way the top curve of the “v” comes over the red line and the ready made space for adding a little heart embellishment under the “e”
The pale grey line is the cut out guide. Download them in the usual place, HERE
Hopefully the two sizes will give you plenty of flexibility to use these on a full range of projects.
A very cute freebie from Twig and Thistle
I don’t do “mushy” even on Valentines day, but I have to admit I thought these were pretty sweet, I could actually see me sticking these on fruit to put in the kids lunches.
There are a whole range of them available FREE to download Get over there and get some !
