Gift Idea
I was thinking yesterday that I may still have time to create some home made gifts for Ch£$&@mas (see I am not actually say THAT word ! )
I saw these in Ikea a few weeks ago and I know a couple of ladies who always put a basket of bread on the table at meal times.
I like the reversible quality of the liners too.
However I think that I could definitely make these, I have a very large pile of unused fat quarters gathering dust that would suit this purpose, plus you could make seasonable liners too for all those special occasions !
One more thing to add to the ever increasing list of things I want to make !

Suck it up and get on with it . .
I know, not very lady like but I do say this a lot, although I am not great at taking my own advice.
I saw this on pinterest and thought I should make myself one of these and hang it up in a prominent place !
Monday, Monday . . .
So its here again, the beginning of another new week, for some of us it is the week before October half term – WHOOPEE !!
However I have to admit that aside from trying to meet my boys high expectations for their Halloween costumes and planning for my sister and her family visiting over half term, I have been thinking alot about that “large festive celebration” the one that takes place towards the end of December – You know which one I am alluding to, right ?
Back in the Summer I had quite a few enquiries about my Summer Album, the one I gave away here, it was great to get such positive responses and some truly thoughtful comments. Since then I have been perfecting some designs and trying to work out if I have the time to create a Festive version of this Kit. I believe that I have come up with a kit that fits the bill perfectly, not too large not to small, great for the December Daily and JYC participants.
My plan is to offer this kit as a pre-printed pack – I have found the complexities of making it downloadable too time consuming to sort out at the moment. I will be doing a give away as well, there will be a sneak peek weekend followed by the giveaway the following week.
Stay tuned

Friday Feeling – Not so Much . . .
Just one of those days, not feeling very joyous, for no particular reason
A general lack of enthusiasm has descended over me recently
Jayne Eyre would probably define it as a mild case of the malaise !!
Its that overwhelming sensation that you aren’t making any headway so why bother
Don’t get me wrong its nothing big, just day to day stuff,
what to do for dinner (I cook twice each evening as my kids are “faddy eaters”)
not wanting to wash any more clothes until the current ironing pile is done
Having to wash because everyone needs socks, pants and school uniforms !
I fully appreciate that the things that are causing me to feel like this are tedious and small in comparison to war, climate change and world hunger.
My solution would be to have had time stand still this morning at dawn (when I feel most productive) and for it not to start up again until I was caught up and organised.
Anyone else with me on this ?

great free printables for halloween
Not mine needless to say but I am really liking these printables from Celeste Rockwood of design, wash, rinse, repeat
Very versatile, could be used on many craft projects not just for the purpose that they were intended for.
