Winding down week . . .

Well not really but it is the last week at school before the Easter hols, so it feels that way and as my jobs are school related, I do look forward to the school holidays.

I am still ticking along with Project life and designing cards for Papercraft Inspirations too.

I think I mentioned I have been working on some border strip designs, well I have completed them – YAY !

They are shown here printed off onto plain smooth white card stock and I cut them out with a scalloped edge, I have also shown them with a “torn from a note book” edge too which I rather like, I am working on some more of these with a type design

I am going to offer some of these designs (glasses, bikes, people icons) as a freebie, If you want the bus and or camera designs I will be charging a small fee for those as they are my personal design, the bus and camera I put together from scratch, these aren’t clip art or dings.
If you want any of the designs with either a scalloped or note book edge again I can offer these at a small charge.

All the border strips measure approx 10.5 inches x 3/4 (27 cm x 2 cm )

If you want to purchase, leave me a comment with your email addy and I will mail you with the prices.

It may be sunny . . .

But its still darn cold !

Looking outside at the blue skies and fluffy white clouds lulls you into a false sense of security, the sunshine makes you think its going to be warm.

Still its smashing to be able to have the windows open all over the house and have the laundry hanging on the line.

I am in the process of designing some more journaling cards and some border strips too, this is the first one off the line this week, its quite versatile, I think. Prints off as a 4×6 inch card and looks best printed on white card stock to emphasise the clean graphic qualities.

Useful in mini books layouts and of course in those project life albums.

You can find them in the usual place HERE

Leave me some feedback in the comments xx

cruising

so, crusing round the web last night looking at scrap stuff, pinterest and PL albums and I came across this post on Kelly Noel’s blog.

Whilst admiring her PL pages I noticed a journaling card with tick boxes on the left hand side, I have no idea if Kelly made this herself or if it is shop bought, but I liked the idea and I thought it would make a great addition to my PL pages. Useful for to do lists, chores etc or just a run down of your weeks events.

I made my own version, even though I say so myself, its pretty dang cute !

If there is enough interest I will put it up as a printable, let me know what you think and what colour combos you like. This is designed to be printed as a 6×4 landscape card but I could make a portrait variation too . . .

Whatcha Doin ?

One of my favourite cartoon phrases “Whatcha doin”

(“OK, love you, bye bye” animaniacs, another favourite)

SO what are you doing this “colourless” Tuesday morning ?

I did my usual work from home stuff pre breakfast – well most of it

I have written some notes in my journal for my PL (project life) week.

Quite interestingly I didn’t think that I would take to project life, I am great at starting projects but not so terrific at completing them, only once in seven years have I managed to finish my christmas journal.

But surprisingly doing PL has got me back into regular scrapping, something I haven’t done for a couple of years. I started off slow and I don’t think that I have quite got into my groove yet, I haven’t included much of the memorabilia I have saved or been taking enough photos but I am getting there I am up to date and have done two page spreads for the last two weeks.

Now that I am caught up I am looking for the stories in our lives that I want to tell, the small details, things that I probably wouldn’t have thought scrap-worthy in the past.

I can see myself scrapping our lives in this format well into the future too.

I have invested in some more WRMK page protectors too, with different pocket combinations to add some variety

The PL goals fro this week are :-
take more photos
include more memorabilia
look for the stories

Keeping it real – here is week ten on the table – complete

His Hobby, My Hobby . . .

My dearest husband recently got an opportunity to purchase an Iphone – Oh Boy has this made him HAPPY !

Personally I wasn’t sure what all the fuss was about, all these people raving about the 4S and its camera capabilities, for goodness sake its a mobile phone, I have a touch screen phone myself and it does the job, but I rarely use the camera, I have a Nikon for that job !

OK now I know why, his Iphone has a better camera in it than my Nikon, WHAT – I know I struggled with that too but my Nikon is kind of old in camera years.

Anyway he downloaded all the necessary apps for the camera this week, hipstamatic and instagram etc . . (I am not even going to pretend to understand)

OK so now I am a little bit impressed – he has been “playing” and then emailing me the photos for my PL (project life) album.

I have to admit it has made me want one – just a little.

Here is a comparison, the dining room table where I am currently “project life-ing” and the back of his car stuffed and ready to go flying (his hobby)
