Another week has gone by . . .

REALLY – this year is speeding by

Not a huge amount to report, not much done either apart from work, too much RAIN for my liking too and it aint over yet !

Although the rain didn’t stop my eldest from enjoying himself at a friends all day outdoor paintball party. He came home dirty, wet, smelly and knackered.

Still keeping up with project life and enjoying it

here are a couple of photos of my recent pages – I am not sharing every week here as it gets a bit boring for those visitors who aren’t interested in PL

These aren’t fantastic photos but it gives you an idea of how simple I am keeping my pages.

Loving adding the insets, I added a contact sheet of photos for an event one of the kids went to because I wanted to include lots of photos but not have them all full size or documented, the contact sheet is an option you get in iPhoto on a MAC and is very useful.

unfinished pocket slap bang in the middle of the right hand page for last week, not sure what that is going to contain yet.

Back to Life Back to Reality . . .

YUP, everyone is back to school and work to day.

Good for me, it means I can get on with my “work from home” job in peace and quiet once again, rather than fitting it in in bits.

I decided to share this layout I did over the weekend, yes it is still to go in my PL album but I think it stands up as a layout in its own right. I used a photo taken by my son on my birthday last week.

I used the front cover from an Easter edition of the Waitrose Kitchen magazine as I loved the colours and the type and the yummy hot cross bun photo.

I thought it was kind of fitting as all through my life I have celebrated my birthday during the Easter holidays.

I’m thinking that the small cerise circle on the top right needs some attention still, but other than that I like it.

Patterned paper cut to look like ribbons and layered, a 5×3 inch white bordered photo, generic luggage tag, a file tab punched from kraft card stock, camera sticker designed by myself, pink felt bird given as a gift and some really old Teresa Collins large chipboard number tiles.

Spring is over !

back to horrible, grey, cold miserable weather this morning and according to the MET office the rest of the Easter break is going to be like this !

So a freebie to (hopefully) brighten your day

another set of border strips, these are traditional abc borders, they are designed to be printed onto plain white card (the blue lines disappear if you use any other colours apart from cream) again I trimmed mine using a border punch, these suit the notebook punch better.

pick them up in the usual place.

So its choose-day . . .

My new name for Tuesday – actually not a lot of choice going on here today, the kids maybe on holiday from school and I am on holiday too from one of my jobs, but the job from home work still needs to be done, so I got up at Dark O’Clock to put in a few hours before the kids get up. Not something I am going to do every day but definitely serves a purpose.

Struggling getting used to life without photoshop, I upgraded my MAC to the latest software version recently and didn’t know until afterwards it doesn’t support Photoshop CS2 which is what I had. Spent a lot of time mourning its loss, before admitting that I can probably do most of what I did in photoshop, between iPhoto and lightroom.

Change isn’t always bad – I know this, but its hard to teach an old dog new tricks !

still ticking along with PL got to catch up on the last two weeks let it slide as I have had a lot of work to do recently, just entering my busiest work quarter.

Thanks for all the interest in the border strips – nice to know my designs meet your needs too.

My daily vista for a lot of the time right now.
