and I won’t be getting one anytime soon, but oh gosh do I love the instagram effect on photos – I am not fussed about the whole instagram site etc but I do like those actions.
So I have been hijacking my sons Ipod touch whilst he has been at school (YES he has the app on this ! ) and I have been having a ball with it. OK so the photos aren’t amazing quality(I think it is only 0.7 mp) but once you use an effect on your photos and print them out they are great.
It has helped me fill lots of the empty pockets in my PL album recently, today I did my usual morning dog walk and took along the ipod and did a bit of a photo walk, something I wouldn’t do with my DSLR (too conspicuous )
When I got home I messed with the photos a little in iphoto (again not much scope here in the editing facilities) then printed them out 2×2 inches to use on a 6×12 spread – YAY I am so pleased with the results.
Here are a few examples – I still won’t be stumping up the huge some of money needed for that dammed IPHONE though.
its been TEN days since I last posted – what the heck !!
Getting ready for school, working, camping, going back to school, working, scrapbook commissions, card commissions, designing stamps
PHEW – tired just writing it down.
I have stayed up to date with PL although I haven’t gone back to the SIX weeks I missed weeks 24-29 BUT I will, eventually.
This week (no: 37) presents its self with an entirely different problem – I didn’t take any photos – I know, second time this year that this has happened, no excuses. However it can be salvaged I can grab the camera and take a load today and tomorrow so all is not lost yet.
In order to stay up to date with this project I really have only been using my week in review cards and the labelled photos, not much scrappy craftyness has been gracing the pages of my PL albums (yes I went over into the second one) But as I was finishing off last weeks pages and patting myself on the back for getting it done I went ahead and made one of my photos into a pocket layout.
Its a 12×6 pocket so there was plenty of scope.
Lots of companies are producing their own “scrap it easy” systems with divided page protectors. I am really enjoying my first year of doing project life and think its great that there are alternatives to the original system.
Echo Park’s Photo Freedom
Studi Calico”s Handbook System
They both come in various themed kits with divided protectors and various add ons, inserts, journal cards and papers
The smaller size of the Studio Calico version lends itself really well to the December Daily/Christmas Journal projects too.
