YES its OFFICIAL I am proud to announce I am a member of the GoGo DT
Janice and Lorraine very kindly, have given me the opportunity to create (hopefully) inspirational projects each month with their beautifully put together kits.
I am also helping to design the GoGo hybrids and their bespoke acrylic stamps.
If you are new to GoGo Kits head on over to the Club House and check out next months stunning kit.
To find out what the girls on the design team did with the June kit check out the gallery
Here are my first two layouts with the fabulous June Kit.
This is a stunning photo of my baby taken a number of years ago on a SUNNY summers day.
I chose the doily paper as it reflected the bright sunny colours of the photo, even though the pattern is bright and busy, mounting the photo onto the black card stock meant it didn’t clash.
I printed my journaling straight onto the luggage tag and then stitched lines underneath in pink (one of the doily colours) Finally before attaching the tag to the layout I wrapped the twine around the tag and threaded the small heart button on before tying it off.
I deconstructed the small chalk board and used it to add my hug, kiss, hug.
The June circle and the heart strip are both cut from the hybrid sheet.
This layout celebrates my “fur baby” and his willingness to be my photo model.
The June Kit has a great collection of brights and pastels, for this design I focused on the yummy
Amy Tangerine alphas combined with the viridian vignette dotty paper.
I created a “hanky edge” banner by cutting several of the patterned papers into triangles and layering them, some flat some with foam dots .
The die cut camera and the beautiful camera charm were perfect as accents to the journaling, which I printed on the backside of one of the papers which conveniently was graph paper.

On a Saturday
I have read Christine Middlecamp’s blog for quite sometime, I find inspiration in her use of colours, patterns and layers.
This summer she is sharing a tutorial called Mapping Happiness.
Essentially its a large framed board that you attach individual cards to, each card will document something that made you genuinely happy.Go read Christine’s blog for the full details
I am really attracted to the idea but I am not sure that I can commit the time to it, between Magazine commissions, project life, two jobs, our home and my family and a little something else (that I can’t share yet)
I do have a spare piece of wall begging for something to hang there, but I would have to figure out how I would make the concept fit my style/decor, cos I am not a fussy vintage kind of gal, so there is the Challenge.

Its the Great British GIVEAWAY
As part of the virtual Jubilee street party being hosted over on the making spot I have designed some printables.
A few red, white and blue freebies to get the 2012 party started. Whether you are celebrating the Jubilee, the Olympics or both these printables will be a welcome addition to your party decorations.
Use the subway art poster to decorate your home or print it double sided onto an “A frame folded piece of card” and use it as a table marker at your street party.
Get those invitations printed out and sent to all your friends, invite them round for a Great British Jubilee Tea Party or use them for an Olympic BBQ.
The tags are very versatile, use them to decorate your place settings or add them to party bags or hostess gifts for the parties, teas or BBQ’s you are attending.
You can download them all HERE
If you want to be entered into the draw for the giveaways, please leave me a comment on this post before 23.59 on Sunday 27th of May 2012 stating PAPERCRAFT or SEWING so I know which freebie gift to send to you.
The Papercraft giveaway contains, one A5 journal, an iconic London Bus card, some London Bus fold over tab stickers and some scrapbook printables border strips.
The Sewing Freebie is a a few fat quarters of fabric and one piece of London Map fabric.

Only a few days to go until the virtual Jubilee Street Party hosted by The Making Spot
Its going to be a great crafty opportunity to get a few bits an pieces ready to celebrate all things British, whether you are attending or even hosting a Jubilee Street Party or an Olympic BBQ.
My celebrations here will be very low key probably just me and the boys having a traditional Jubilee cream tea, but I am going to go all out with bunting, cup cakes, personal invitations for the boys, balloons and a plethora of red white and blue.
Along with a special just for the making spot craft, I am also going to do a couple of give aways here on my blog. One paper crafting related one sewing related, so if you want to win come on over on the 26th and 27th of may.
Only people who comment on the Jubilee post between 12.01 on the 26th through to 23.59 on the 27th will be entered into the draw for the prizes.

SO – some of you may be aware that I am a regular contributed to Papercraft Inspirations and to celebrate the Queens Jubilee this year they will be holding a “virtual street party” over at themakingspot.com
The weekend before the Jubilee (26th & 27th May), they will be be hosting a 2-day ‘virtual street party’ on their blog – filled with craft ideas & inspiration for DIY party projects with a Royal/British twist.
Lots of talented crafters will be contributing not just paper crafters but knitters and stitchers too.
QUOTE :-
“We’re hoping that the event is a fun excuse to come together with craft websites, bloggers & designers across the knitting, stitching & papercraft industries – to not only offer people a great combination of free projects, but also for us to work together to share links between our websites. Our fellow craft magazines here at Future Publishing are already coming to the party, and we’d love to see you there too”
AWESOME IDEA !
I will be contributing something printable and probably typographic, really !
As a bonus I will also be doing an “all things Great and British” giveaway on my blog too. A prize drawn at random from all the comments received that weekend from 12.01 on Saturday 26th of May to 23.59 on Sunday the 27th of May.
