Tuesday’s TIPS

I have been doing alot of internet browsing in what little spare time I have, I thought I would share a couple of things I found. I am sure lots of you will already have been directed to these through pinterest already but just in case you missed them . . .

Firstly this place – word mark it  a site where you type in an “example word” and it uses every font you have stored on your computer to show you what that word will look like. A fabulous way of making font decisions, especially if like me you are a font freek and have way to many.

wordmarkit

Secondly – this place maps.stamen.com another great site, you type in a location or destination and it pulls up a map for you, but you can then save the image in serveral options, watercolour and  toner are my preferred options, great for using on craft projects and something a little unusual.

Bilmey . . .

TEN whole days and no blog post !

Lots of deadlines – paid work related and creative too, in fact last week past in a blur, including two trips up to London, one for a school trip to the Tate Modern and one for work.

Spending this week catching up again both work, creatively and on the housework front too. I am 5 weeks behind with project life – but it isn’t an issue I am committing some time to it each evening at the moment and getting it done.

My Papercraft Card commissions are all unto date – PHEW !
Got a new one for the NOVEMBER issue (really) waiting for my attention.

I have even managed to squeeze in couple of layouts, WHAT ???

I know, I haven’t done any layouts for at least three years so whats the reason – well you will just have to wait and see . . but I am super excited and very honoured, keep tuning in to find out.

here are a couple of sneaks

There’s more . . .

OK so I know I primarily design these journaling cards for my own benefit but there’s no harm in sharing is there ?

I designed this card to reflect the fact that some of my days nothing really happens, those days that we spend at home chilling, doing nothing significant.

Enjoy, these are intended to be printed as 6×4, if your printer allows it you could reduce the scale to 70% or 75% and they would print out at approx 4×3 too.

Download them in the usual place – HERE

Don’t forget – let me know your thoughts.

What we watch . . .

I am still very light on Photos for my PL pages – I am not complaining you understand just stating a fact, so I am thinking of ways to document our lives in other ways, one of those was to use lists – kind of obvious I know.

One of the things I thought I might list was what TV programmes we are watching at the moment so in honour of that I designed a little journal card for that purpose. Again it doesn’t just have a use as a PL journal card this would be great used as a journal card on any layout about TV habits.

As usual you can download it HERE

Please comment and let me know your thoughts.

The larger lined card is 6×4 and the smaller one is 3×4 if anyone would like 6×4 landscape let me know. I left a pale grey outline around each card for cutting purposes.

The little vintage TV set is an exclusive Scrapbook Printables Design.

Spring is over !

back to horrible, grey, cold miserable weather this morning and according to the MET office the rest of the Easter break is going to be like this !

So a freebie to (hopefully) brighten your day

another set of border strips, these are traditional abc borders, they are designed to be printed onto plain white card (the blue lines disappear if you use any other colours apart from cream) again I trimmed mine using a border punch, these suit the notebook punch better.

pick them up in the usual place.

if you fancy getting my latest “winter” printables get on over to UKScrappers and download them, they are exclusive to UKS and absolutely FREE to members

These are very versatile, the calendar tag could be used on any scrapbook page, just highlight or circle the month and day you need. This would make a useful addition to the Journal Your Christmas or December Daily projects.

the circular elements are designed to be punched out using a 3, 2 and 1 inch punch.

Have fun with these and feel free to link to your projects in the comments if you use my designs on your projects.

I WILL BE LOADING A SEPARATE POST LATER TODAY FOR THE CHRISTMAS JOURNAL GIVE AWAY – INTERNATIONAL READERS WELCOME !

Monday, Monday . . .

So its here again, the beginning of another new week, for some of us it is the week before October half term – WHOOPEE !!

However I have to admit that aside from trying to meet my boys high expectations for their Halloween costumes and planning for my sister and her family visiting over half term, I have been thinking alot about that “large festive celebration” the one that takes place towards the end of December – You know which one I am alluding to, right ?

Back in the Summer I had quite a few enquiries about my Summer Album, the one I gave away here, it was great to get such positive responses and some truly thoughtful comments. Since then I have been perfecting some designs and trying to work out if I have the time to create a Festive version of this Kit. I believe that I have come up with a kit that fits the bill perfectly, not too large not to small, great for the December Daily and JYC participants.

My plan is to offer this kit as a pre-printed pack – I have found the complexities of making it downloadable too time consuming to sort out at the moment. I will be doing a give away as well, there will be a sneak peek weekend followed by the giveaway the following week.

Stay tuned
